Answer to Question 1

A, B, C, E
Feedback:
The sympathetic nervous system contains the adrenergic receptors that respond to norepinephrine and include alpha- and beta-receptors. The parasympathetic nervous system contains the cholinergic receptors including the muscarinic and nicotinic receptors that respond to acetylcholine. Together the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, including cholinergic and adrenergic receptors, make up the autonomic nervous system. Option D is incorrect.

Answer to Question 2

D
Feedback:
Inhibin has been investigated for many years as a possible male birth control drug, because it is thought to affect only sperm production. Estrogen, testosterone, and GnRH have multiple effects on the body other than just sperm production.

Dogs have been used in studies to detect various cancers in human subjects. They have been trained to sniff breath samples from humans that were collected by having them breathe into special tubes. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
