Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Epinephrine is added to local anesthetics for vasoconstrictive effects, which include prolonging the action of the local anesthetic drug, preventing systemic absorption, and minimizing bleeding. Epinephrine will not decrease cerebral circulation or coronary circulation. Epinephrine will not increase bronchoconstriction .

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Infection is the essence of otitis media, and would be a priority over other diagnoses such as hyperthermia or temporary hearing loss. The pain associated with this disorder would be acute, not chronic.
