Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Eptifibatide (Integrilin) inhibits platelet aggregation by preventing activation of GP IIb/IIIa receptors on the platelet surface and the subsequent binding of fibrinogen and von Willebrand factor to platelets. Eptifibatide is used for acute coronary syndromes, including unstable angina, myocardial infarction, and nonQ wave MI. Blocked carotid arteries, intermittent claudication, and hypertension are not treated with eptifibatide.
