How does a cooling tower remove energy from the water it is circulating?
 
  A) It cools the water flowing through it by evaporating a small portion of the water.
  B) It cools the water flowing through it by passing it over ice that is made during off-peak hours.
  C) It cools the water flowing through it by using a separate compression refrigeration system.
