Explain why the following statement is false: The mean of a probability distribution of a discrete random variable always has a value equal to one of the values of the random variable.

A histogram is said to be symmetric if, when we draw a vertical line down the center of the histogram, the two sides are identical in shape and size.

Although variables are discrete, very likely the mean could be a non-discrete value and therefore, not equal to one of the variables.
