  Since there are two possible ways to obtain a sum of three on two dice, the odds in favor of observing a sum of 3 when two dice are rolled is

  3.2:34 or 1:17
  4.1/17

What is the theoretical probability of obtaining a sum of seven when two dice are rolled and their spots summed?
