AN OBSERVATIONAL STUDY DOES NOT CONTROL FOR OTHER VARIABLES THAT MAY INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME. THAT MEANS THERE MAY BE OTHER FACTORS THAT THE RESEARCHERS DID NOT MEASURE THAT COULD ACCOUNT FOR ANY CONNECTIONS FOUND.
