Answer to Question 1

Using lyrics to feature overt political statements or to deal with locally or nationally defined Native issues. Lyrics are also used to speak to their own lives as indigenous people, but this is not universal.
Blending traditional, local, or tribally specific musical styles of instruments with mainstream popular styles of genres. Mixing English lyrics with their own indigenous language.

Answer to Question 2

Mellow, consonant music that produces a peaceful, contemplative mood Repetition unifies the music. The character of the music is floating, lacking a steady beat/meter or accompanying chord progression. The flute seems to be carrying on a musical dialogue with the synthesizer.
