Answer to Question 1

The primary cell is a disposable type battery that cannot be recharged. A secondary cell is specifically designed for material that accepts a Recharge.

Answer to Question 2

A diode changes ac voltage to dc voltage. The waveform of the voltage supplied to the diode is AC sine wave, and the output of a single diode is a half wave DC voltage wave.
