Explain what the grid is and how it works to distribute electrical power to customers.

Answer to Question 1

The grid is the electrical connection between where electrical power is produced at the power plant and how it gets connected to all the loads, residences, and industries. The grid control companies have switch gear to turn on power or turn it off in a section of the grid if there is a problem.
