Oil is vaporized by the heat of combustion and by contact with the hot metal surfaces of the combustion chamber.

Answer to Question 2

A rotating internal plate opens and closes two drilled ports in the scroll. When these two ports are open, refrigerant exits the scroll in the first compression chamber.
