Answer to Question 1

The velocity of the refrigerant is reduced when the system operates at reduced capacity, so the risers are sized smaller on systems with capacity control to maintain a minimum velocity.

Answer to Question 2

The surface of an ultraviolet lamp is very sensitive and just the oil from your fingerprints can lead to premature failure of the lamp. Always use gloves when handling the lamp and wipe away any film to clean the lamp after handling.
