Answer to Question 1

Draw vertical lines from the points where the refrigerant enters and leaves the compressor to determine the enthalpy entering and leaving the compressor. The heat of compression is the difference in the enthalpy.

Answer to Question 2

Fire codes often require light commercial buildings to be constructed using metal studs.

Answer to Question 3

The condenser must get rid of the heat of the compressor as well as the heat gained in the evaporator.
