Answer to Question 1

Insert one pressure probe facing the airflow to read total pressure and connect this probe to the high pressure side of the inclined manometer or magnehelic gauge. Insert a second probe perpendicular to the airflow to read static pressure. Connect this probe to the low pressure side of the inclined manometer or magnehelic. The difference in total pressure and static pressure is velocity pressure.

Answer to Question 2

Insert pressure probe at a right angle to the airflow and read the pressure using an inclined manometer, digital manometer, or magnehelic gauge.
