The legal issues that are currently being addressed in the eLEGAL research are the following (Nielsen, Y.; Hassan, T.; and Cifcti, C.; 2007 p. 255):

a) Making email and exclusive electronic communication legally admissible and
contractually valid.
b) Avoiding a media-breach between project principles.
c) Establishing a contractual framework for the use of Application Service providers
(ASPs) governing the relationships between the client, the SP, and end users.
d) Liability for errors resulting from conversions between different Computer Aided
Design (CAD) software programs  or preferably avoidance of errors.
e) Managing hard/soft copy discrepancies.
f) Enabling project adoption of digital signatures.
