Why are letters of reference required when an individual applies to take the Professional Engineers examination?

Answer to Question 1

Letters of reference are required when an individual applies to take the Professional Engineers Principles and Practice examination in order for the members of the State Boards of Registration to have information on the character, honesty, and integrity of examination applicants.
