President Dwight Eisenhower established the interstate highway system in the United States during the 1950s to ensure that the United States would have viable transportation systems in all of the fifty states of the United States. President Eisenhower also realized this was necessary for having successful military operations.

Answer to Question 2

If a labor union contract expires before another union contract is agreed upon and signed the workers will go on strike until the new labor agreement is signed.
