Answer to Question 1

Such connections are made when two structural members on opposite sides of a column web are connected by sharing common connection holes for the connection bolts. At least one bolt with a wrench-tight nut must remain connected to the first member to secure that member and to prevent the column form being displaced.

Multiple-lifting procedures are to be undertaken in ways that reduce overhead exposure and operator fatigue and that eliminate improper, unsafe work practices. Components of the multiple-lift rigging assembly must be designed and assembled with a maximum capacity for total assembly and for each individual attachment point.
