Answer to Question 1

A net meter is a utility meter that can measure the difference between the power coming from or going back to the grid. For a homeowner with a renewable energy system, it automatically credits the homeowner with any excess power sent to the grid.

Answer to Question 2

A substation is a network of switching equipment, control equipment and transformers that are an integral part of the transmission system. A transmission substation provides the interface between the generating stations to the transmission

These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
