If each cell in the module in Problem 4 produces 3A, describe the system required to produce at least 20 A at 32 V.

What will be an ideal response?

Question 2

To obtain 32 V from a PV module, how many individual cells must be used and how should they be connected (assume 0.5 V per cell)?

Answer to Question 1

The cells within the module are in series (as shown in problem 4), so the module voltage is 32 V and the module is rated for 3 A.

To produce 20 A total, (20 A/3 A) = 7 modules in parallel are required. ITOT = 7(3A) = 21 A

Answer to Question 2

Number of series cells = 32 V/0.5 V = 64 cells in series

As many as 28% of hospitalized patients requiring mechanical ventilators to help them breathe (for more than 48 hours) will develop ventilator-associated pneumonia. Current therapy involves intravenous antibiotics, but new antibiotics that can be inhaled (and more directly treat the infection) are being developed.

Drug-induced pharmacodynamic effects manifested in older adults include drug-induced renal toxicity, which can be a major factor when these adults are experiencing other kidney problems.

Dogs have been used in studies to detect various cancers in human subjects. They have been trained to sniff breath samples from humans that were collected by having them breathe into special tubes. These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
