Six series strings of 24 PV cells are connected in parallel. Assume each PV cell produces a current of 2 A and 0.5 V at the maximum power point. Determine the output current, voltage and power to a load under maximum power point conditions.

Answer to Question 1

Iout = 24(2 A) = 48 A

Vout = 0.5 V

Pout = (Iout)(Vout) = (48 A)(0.5 V) = 24 W
