Answer to Question 1

The speed of rotation at various distances from the galaxies center is plotted for spiral galaxies whose rotation is more easily observed. The flat curve going out toward the edge shows us that there must be a dark halo, extending well beyond the visible one, and that dark matter may account for 90 of the total mass.

Though methadone is often used to treat dependency on other opioids, the drug itself can be abused. Crushing or snorting methadone can achieve the opiate "rush" desired by addicts. Improper use such as these can lead to a dangerous dependency on methadone. This drug now accounts for nearly one-third of opioid-related deaths.

There used to be a metric calendar, as well as metric clocks. The metric calendar, or "French Republican Calendar" divided the year into 12 months, but each month was divided into three 10-day weeks. Each day had 10 decimal hours. Each hour had 100 decimal minutes. Due to lack of popularity, the metric clocks and calendars were ended in 1795, three years after they had been first marketed.
