Answer to Question 1

E

Answer to Question 2

It is probably the result of an impact. There is a huge impact crater site at Vesta's south pole, with a central peak that is one of the largest mountains in the solar system. Had it not been for this giant impact, Vesta would have much more mass, and would have enough gravity to be spherical in shape.
