Answer to Question 1

b.
The Rydberg equation predicts the values for the different transitions of energy levels in the hydrogen atom.

Answer to Question 2

D.
Millikan's oil drop experiment was the first experiment to accurately measure the value of the charge of the electron. The experiment involved trapping a charged drop of oil between two electrodes, where the electric forces upward balance the gravitational forces downward. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics for this experiment and others in 1923
