Are the higher-order spectra more accurate than lower-order ones in determining wavelengths of light? Why or why not?

A circuit consists of three identical lamps connected to a battery as in Figure OQ28.14. The battery has some internal resistance. The switch S, originally open, is closed. What happens to the brightness of lamp C?

Answer to Question 1

The higher orders are more accurate because there is a greater spread of the spectrum
lines and the measurements are generally more accurate.
