Two microphones, 3.0 m apart, pick up the sound of a source emitting sound at 1024 Hz. The source is moving in a direction parallel to the line joining the microphones.

When the source is equidistant from the microphones, the signals picked up by the microphones interfere constructively. At that instant the angle between the right bisector to the line joining the microphones and the line joining the midpoint to the source is 0. What will the angle be when the two signals again interfere constructively for the first time? The speed of sound is 330 m/s. Assume that the distance to the source of sound is very large compared with the wavelength.

For high blood pressure (hypertension), a new class of drug, called a vasopeptidase blocker (inhibitor), has been developed. It decreases blood pressure by simultaneously dilating the peripheral arteries and increasing the body's loss of salt.

For about 100 years, scientists thought that peptic ulcers were caused by stress, spicy food, and alcohol. Later, researchers added stomach acid to the list of causes and began treating ulcers with antacids. Now it is known that peptic ulcers are predominantly caused by Helicobacter pylori, a spiral-shaped bacterium that normally exist in the stomach.

Certain chemicals, after ingestion, can be converted by the body into cyanide. Most of these chemicals have been removed from the market, but some old nail polish remover, solvents, and plastics manufacturing solutions can contain these substances.

Oxytocin is recommended only for pregnancies that have a medical reason for inducing labor (such as eclampsia) and is not recommended for elective procedures or for making the birthing process more convenient.

Certain topical medications such as clotrimazole and betamethasone are not approved for use in children younger than 12 years of age. They must be used very cautiously, as directed by a doctor, to treat any child. Children have a much greater response to topical steroid medications.
