The time P required for a spring-mass system to complete one full oscillation can be expressed in terms of the attached mass m and the spring constant of the spring k in the form P = kmbkc, where k, b, and c are dimensionless constants.

What must be the values of b and c? The dimensions of k are M/T2.

Question 2

The speed v of sound waves in a gas can be expressed in terms of the pressure p and the density  (mass per unit volume) of the gas, as v = apbc, where a, b, and c, are dimensionless constants. The dimensions of pressure are M/LT2.

What must be the values of b and c?
