Regarding the matter of fees for professional services, the AAMFT codes specify that family therapists:
 
  a. do not accept payment for making referrals.
  b. do not become involved with third party payors.
  c. never change their fee structure during the time they work with a given family.
  d. must have clients sign a document that states that they understand the policies pertaining to payment for services.
  e. none of the above.
