1 . College nights for parents and students include a variety of programs. The major purpose of these programs is a sharing of information about college in general and entry requirements.
2 . Partnerships and agreements between high schools and community colleges continue to grow. High school students in many communities can receive college credit in specified programs while still in high school.
3 . Tech-prep programs are also highlighted in terms of demands in the workplace for highly trained students.
4 . Available internships in certain industries are explained.
5 . High school placement offices offer students information about the connection between academics and the work world.
