Answer to Question 1

Irv's four domains falls under four categories career, affective, cognitive-behavioral and culture. Career development is accompanied by addressing personal needs. The rationale is to help enhance progress that is designed to moderate personal problems in careers.
In moderating personal problems in careers the therapist can use trait-oriented counseling, developmental counseling, social learning and cognitive counseling, and person-in-environment counseling.
the affective domain is used to control emotions and can used by the following strategies client-centered therapy, Gestalt experiments, Existential therapy, psychodynamic therapies. Cognitive-behavioral has a major emphasis on addressing cognitive schemas and their influence on behavior.
emphasizing the cognitive schemas the therapist can use behavioral counseling, cognitive restructuring, rational-emotive therapy, reality therapy, and Beck's cognitive therapy. The cultural domain includes negative perceptions of all life roles by socioeconomic status.
In the need of exposure to more positive life roles and the benefits of life style the therapist can use culturally based interventions and multicultural counseling.
