He reveals that he is tempted to be unfaithful to his wife in order to explore his sexuality. Overwhelmed and uncomfortable, Lois truly does not know how to proceed. It would be best if Lois would

  b. share her negative reactions about homosexuality and attempt to persuade the client to reconsider his options.

 The basic assumption is that new knowledge will bridge changes in work and life in the 21st century.
 One of the major counseling goals of lifelong learning is to provide each client with a knowledge base and skills that can be used for current and future concerns and needs.
