ANSWER: The response should include that vocabulary is included from kindergarten through College and Career Ready 11-12 grade in the section entitled Vocabulary Acquisition and Use.

(3) Determine which key-concept words are adequately defined in the text. (4) Identify the words students can identify through structural analysis. (5) Think about the words in relation to student needs. (6) Decide when to teach: before, during, or after reading. (7) Select the strategy or strategies to use for teaching.
