A sample of 16 days of sales at each store indicated the following: Store A Store B n1 = 16 n2 = 16 s1 = 125 s2 = 105 Are the variances of the populations (from which these samples came) equal? Use  = .05.
Indicate whether the statement is true or false

Answer to Question 1

F = 1.42; do not reject H0, there is not sufficient evidence to conclude that the variance of the sales at two small grocery stores are different

Answer to Question 2

2 = 90.75 > 83.2976; reject H0, there is sufficient evidence to conclude that the population variance exceeds 80
