A researcher wants to know how many Americans have been contacted by aliens. To conduct this study he sends out a questionnaire to 100,000 Americans.
 
  Based on the results of the 400 questionnaires that are returned, he states that 57 of Americans have been contacted by aliens. Do you believe his results? Thoroughly explain why or why not?

No. Only 400 (0.4) returned the questionnaire, so it is basically a convenience sample.
