Answer to Question 1

The response should reflect the fact that it is used to list the assets of a losing party in order to determine how property or assets will be distributed.

Answer to Question 2

The student's response should reflect the fact that the discovery deposition is used to bring out all of the facts pertaining to a particular litigation. The purpose is to limit the scope of issues to the matters at hand.
