There could be several reasons that students come up with for the persistence of American Exceptionalism. One possible answer is that despite the objections of many in both the United States and Canada, U.S. foreign policy is still oriented toward a very active role on the global stage.

Rising housing and transportation costs have encouraged more people to move back into redeveloped downtown neighborhoods.
