consequences of not doing them. Rather, team members do things because they want success for
everyone, including themselves and the operation. Point 8 of Deming's fourteen points addressed
driving out fear so that everyone may work effectively. According to Dina Berta, Restaurants
that can successfully brand themselves as a desirable place to work stand to have an edge in
attracting talent in an ever-shrinking labor pool, according to operators and personnel experts.
The Golden Rule Environment is key in branding an operation as a desirable place to work.
