Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

The Occupational Safety and Health Act created regulations and enforcement practices to render
the work environment safe and healthy for workers. Most employees in the United States come
under OSHA's jurisdiction. Directly or indirectly, OSHA covers private sector employers and
stipulates that state health and safety programs must be at least as effective as the Federal
program. OSHA standards are rules that describe the methods that employers in almost all work
sites must use to protect their employees from hazards.
