Answer to Question 1

Buyers evaluate vendors to determine if they are receiving the anticipated value for purchase dollars. If buyers determine that they are receiving the anticipated value, vendors will likely remain on the approved list. If there are problems, corrective actions, which may include replacement of the vendor, will be needed.

The same factors used to determine whether vendors should be approved can be used to determine whether expectations are being met. However, buyers can evaluate vendors based on actual specific performance, rather than potential.
