There are many jobs in corrections where opportunities for advancement are great. These vary from community programs to those in institutions, from juvenile to adult corrections, from privately administered agencies to state and federal agencies. Most states and the federal jurisdiction offer a good salary package for working in corrections. The health insurance and pension plans are further inducements for corrections employment.
