To check sheave wear:
 
  A. See if the belt bottoms out in the sheave groove.
  B. See if the belts squeal because they can't grip theworn sheave.
  C. Measure each groove angle.
  D. All of the above answers are correct.

Question 2

A general rule for V-belt tension is:
 
  A. tight enough to avoid slippage.
  B. loose enough to avoid belt and bearing wear.
  C. 20 lbs. of pressure between pulleys yields 1/2 belt deflection.
