Answer to Question 1

If you want to look at a particular scene from different viewing angles, Camera Location should be unchecked when creating the scene. If you want to create a scene that shows a particular view, such as a view created using the Walkthrough tools, Camera Location should be checked.

Answer to Question 2

Having a copy of the room is useful for establishing move points. In other words, when you have to move pieces from one room to another, clicking similar move points in both rooms ensures that the room contents end up in the right place. A copy of a room can be erased once it's not needed.
