Answer to Question 1

Press the Ctrl / Option key while rotating.

Answer to Question 2

Keeping various parts of models separated into groups and components is simply good organization. But another advantage is that a group / component is sealed, which means objects inside it cannot affect, or be affected by, objects outside the group. A table base and tabletop will stick together if not grouped, but are kept separate from one another if grouped. Components should be used for objects that will repeat, as we saw with windows in Chapter 1 . In this chapter, the obvious choice for components are table legs and drawer handles.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
