Answer: People with agoraphobia become fearful of public places and start to avoid them. At the extremes of agoraphobia, people stay isolated in their homes and are afraid to go outside.

Answer: The four anxiety disorders linked to personality are generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and social phobia. Generalized anxiety disorder is a disorder characterized by high levels of anxiety over a period of 6 months or more. Panic disorder is a mood disorder involving panic attacks (intense, short burst of intense fear and anxiety). Agoraphobia is a fear or phobia of public places. Social phobia is an intense fear of social situations.
