Answer to Question 1

Answer: A negative correlation occurs when one variable is high, and the other variable tends to be low. An example of negative correlation is that the more a person exercises, the less that person weighs.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: A positive correlation occurs when one variable is high, and the other variable tends to be high as well. An example of positive correlation is that the more a person eats, the more that person weighs.
