Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

The deepest part of the ocean is the Mariana Trench, which is located on the east side of the Philippine Islands in the Pacific Ocean. The Mariana Trench extends 11,022 meters (36,163 feet) below sea level. The Mariana Trench formed as a result of the convergence of two oceanic plates, and the subduction of the denser plate beneath the lighter plate. The Mariana trench and other ocean trenches are among Earth's most tectonically active geological features. Great earthquakes and tsunamis often originate in them.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
