ANS: A
Fjords are very steep troughs shaped by glaciers. There is a sill of glacier deposits that allows bottom
waters to become stagnant. Information can be found in the section Fresh Water Meets the Ocean in
Estuaries.



Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
The berm crest is the peak on the highest peak on the berm. It correlates to the shoreward limit of wave
activity during recent high tides. Information can be found in the section Beaches Dominate
