The pattern is created and digitized into the computer. Each part of the garment is knitted to shape on a machine using a computer program. The pieces are then joined together by using a linking machine.

Cap ease is needed to allow for the transition from the rounded shape of the shoulder to the flatter area below the bicep. Ease allows for comfort and movement by the wearer.
