ANSWER:
Children recognize their own emotions before they recognize the emotions of others. By four, they can recognize happy, sad, angry, funny, surprised, and scary faces.
Preoperational children explain feelings in situational termsfor example, having an icecream conewhereas concrete operations children generalize to more situations and refer to inner feelings.
