ANSWER: Answers should include that object permanence is the knowledge that objects continue to exist even when one is not seeing, hearing, or feeling them begins to develop at about eight months and is completely developed by about the middle of the second year. Object recognition is the sensorimotor ability to identify objects by their features acquired at about 16 weeks.
